Merit Scholarship! 50%!

After three months of tough competition with all the students throughout grades 10-12, I finally got the letter of scholarship award!

There are three different levels of scholarship offered at my school, BCIS. 25%, 50%, and full(i.e. 100%) tuition fee. Whilst getting the scholarship itself was a significant challenge, I managed be one of the only three students in grade 10 (the youngest eligible grade for the program) to get the 50% scholarship. This year I applied for music, and I wasn't that surprised of the result because as one of the leading student musicians at my school, I do have a lot of passion in music, and actively participated in every performance opportunity. Next year I'm planning to apply for another scholarship, probably for the IT area, because I wrote tons of interesting programs, and I've almost finished building the second version of the school's Notification app.

About the process of scholarship application:

The first round of selections began back in May, where students who passed the round would receive a letter about their interview times. After the face-to-face conversation with the principles, a few students would be qualified and sent to the scholarship committee for further examination and verification. Lastly, during the last week of school, the students will either get or not get an award email.
